For Youth and Teen students of the MMAT Center, we require a signed Code of Conduct Contract as it is our goal to develop strong men and women, both of body and character.  One of our teen students told his parents that MMA training would be a valuable tool for him when confronted with the temptations of the age (drugs, alcohol).  Even though the commercial for drug abuse prevention promote “Just Say No”, it’s simply not that easy.  However, when professional MMA fighters – their instructors and currently the coolest people on the planet – require a healthy lifestyle for their students with consequences for noncompliance, it’s a very strong defense for avoidance of illegal substances.  Just as important is our requirement of “No Fighting”.  Competition in sanctioned and supervised events is available (grappling only, no striking for minors) for those who want to test their skills.

MMAT CENTER YOUNG ADULT CONDUCT CONTRACT

I ______________________________ agree to hold myself to the standard of conduct befitting my status as an official representative of the MIXED MARTIAL ARTS TRAINING CENTER. I understand that there may be consequences up to and including termination of my ability to train at this facility.

1.    No fighting outside the gym. The skills and techniques that you are learning are a real contact sport and have the ability to hurt other people.

2.    No drinking of alcoholic beverages or drugs allowed.

3.    If you get in trouble you will need to explain yourselves to the coaches and accept the consequences up to and including termination.

4.    No attitudes. You are a representative of our gym. We would like to think that you received an open welcome into our facility by our staff as well as our other students and want you to make others feel that they also would be welcome here. This rule applies to outside the gym as well.

5.    Follow all gym rules.
